Recovery is as much an "attitude adjustment" as it is anything else. An attitude is a behavior or mindset controlled by the environment one chooses, to compliment their own "way of thinking"! It is not only a physical, but it is also a psychic (influenced by the human mind) experience. For example; deep in addiction one does not want to, and in fact is not going to, associate with addicts in recovery or anyone else, outside their vicious circle. Naturally, addictive behavior will include "criminal" behavior, and often the addict becomes even "more" a criminal than an addict. In recovery there is only one accepted attitude; "Gratitude!" Gratitude for having a 2nd chance. Gratitude for how easy it is to find people willing to help. All you need is the desire to quit!
